Dr. Majda is a Board certified Specialist in Anaesthesia and Reanimation from the Ministry of Health in Slovenia since 1974.  She gained her Academic Specialisation in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in Ljubljana in 1980.  In addition, she completed post-specialization professional training programmes in Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Italy and the UK.

Dr. Majda is a Member of the European Society of Anaesthesia, European Society for Regional Anaesthesia, American Pain Society and is on the Medical Advisory Committee at the Ministry of Health in Ljubljana.

Her professional path as Consultant Anaesthetist in the Middle East started at Hamad Medical Corporation from 1992 - 1996 where she was Senior Consultant in Charge at the Women Hospital in Doha, Qatar.  From 1996 - 2009 she was employed at Al Zahra Pvt. Hospital in Sharjah, UAE. In 2009 she joined the team at Dubai London Specialty Hospital.

As a Consultant Anaesthetist, Dr. Majda has more than 20 years of experience at the University Medical Hospital in Ljubljana Slovenia, which is one of the largest and most renowned University Hospitals in Central Europe with over 3000 hospital beds and 7500 employees.

Dr. Majda's practical work includes performing anaesthesias for all fields of surgeries including:

Dr. Majda also held several teaching positions at the Medical School in Ljubljana and was the President of the Slovenian Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care.
