Paediatrics

Our Paediatrician is Board Certified in Paediatrics and Infectious Diseases. The Baby Clinic is run by our experienced senior nurses and mothers are welcome to discuss day to day problems as well as have their infants weighed and, if necessary, referred to the paediatrician. Immunizations are carried out according to local government regulations and country of origin requirements which will be adjusted accordingly.

The paediatrician carries out child development examinations at the recommended ages. She is a visiting paediatrician at the American Hospital. Dr. Kovesdi is an examiner for the Australian, New Zealand and Canadian embassies.

Rita Kovesdi MD

Specialist Paediatrician & Specialist Infectious Diseases

Dr. Rita Kovesdi obtained her Medical Degree in 1986 from Budapest in Hungary followed by specialized degrees in paediatrics as well as infectology. She has a fellowship of the European Council in Strasbourg to her credit. Dr. Kovesdi has extensive experience of having worked in major hospitals of repute in Hungary. She has obtained hands on experience in various departments like general paediatrics as well as paediatric specialties like gastroenterology, neuroinfectology, respiratory diseases, hepatology, haematology, immunology, neonatal/perinatal intensive care as well as AIDS.

Dr. Kovesdi believes that knowledge provides you with comfort and accessible, accurate and credible health information is one of the best tools of ensuring the family's good health. With years of frontline medical experience, Dr. Kovesdi has a reputation as a communicator who encourages patients to be active and informed in their children's health and well being. Dr. Kovesdi was a member of the medical team for the first bone marrow transplantation centre for children in Hungary. Dr. Kovesdi joined the Dubai London Clinic. She has a special interest in paediatric infectious diseases, immunizations - its complications and recent developments as well as parental nutrition. Dr. Kovesdi is a Medical Examiner for the Australian, Canadian and New Zealand Immigrations Authorities, as well as a visiting paediatrician at the American Hospital in Dubai.

She keeps current with her field by attending seminars and conferences. Dr. Kovesdi has undertaken a study on bone marrow transplantation in the bone marrow transplantation department of St. Anna Children's Hospital in Vienna, Austria as well as the bone marrow transplantation department of the Haematology Institute of Rome University in Italy. Dr. Kovesdi has been able to blend her skills and evolve into an extremely talented and versatile Paediatrician.
